Want to introduce your daughter (aged 5-11) to the joy of football? Wildcats offers a fantastic opportunity! It’s a supportive and exciting environment where girls can discover their love for the game, surrounded by friendly teammates and guided by FA-qualified coaches.
What is Wildcats?
Wildcats sessions at FC Abbey Meads take place once a week on Monday evenings between 17:00 – 18:00 on our magnificent 3G pitch at our Moredon Sporting Hub ground.
These sessions are designed to build a solid foundation of movement skills—agility, balance, coordination, and speed—essential not just for football, but for any sport.
Your daughter will learn exciting new football techniques, create wonderful friendships, and share plenty of laughs.
Each session starts with a team huddle, welcoming any newcomers and outlining the plan for the day.
Then the real fun begins!
Football skills are woven into engaging themed games and activities. Popular themes like pirates, jungle animals, and superheroes spark imaginations and encourage creativity.

Who runs the Wildcats sessions?
FA-qualified coaches from FC Abbey Meads run the Wildcats sessions, we do not sub-contract out. All of our coaches have enhanced DBS certificates and have passed the mandatory Safeguarding Children in Football and First Aid courses required by the FA to teach children.
