It’s been a short few weeks since we restarted football again, during what has been a year to remember, and all of a sudden we stop again to enjoy the Christmas break. As the year draws to a close and we spend time with loved ones, it make us all value the things we hold dear to us, family and friends.
I know for sure, when I sit down for Christmas dinner this year that I will thinking of those who may not be sat with their families, the people working in the emergency services and key workers who have worked non stop this year to lead the fight against COVID-19.
I have seen a number of our teams in action recently and I am glad to see people following government guidance at events in regards to the “rule of 6” and sanitising hands upon arriving at football training and games.
As 2020 draws to a close I’d like to thank everyone for their fantastic support and here’s to a better 2021, from the coaches and parents to members of the committee and to our players, who have gone through large parts of the year without kicking a ball.
Finally a thank you to our members who work for the emergency services and other key workers, you are all heroes.
Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
