FC Abbey Meads is celebrating its continued commitment to grassroots football excellence after successfully retaining its coveted 3 Star Accreditation from The Football Association (FA).
The FA’s Accredited Club program, formerly known as the Standard Charter Club, recognises clubs that demonstrate a high level of commitment to providing a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for players of all ages and abilities, fostering the growth of football for everyone. The 3 Star Accreditation represents the highest honour achievable within this pathway.
FC Abbey Meads boasts an impressive 33 teams, catering to a wide spectrum of players from the youngest Mini Meads (ages 4-6) through to established girls’ teams and a competitive men’s adult side. This broad reach underscores the club’s dedication to making football accessible to the entire community.
This significant achievement places FC Abbey Meads among an elite group, as they are one of only four football clubs in Wiltshire to have earned and maintained this top-tier 3 Star Accreditation.
A key factor in the club’s ongoing success is its exceptional facilities at the Moredon Sporting Hub. Widely regarded as one of the best in Wiltshire, the hub provides players and coaches with access to a state-of-the-art 3G artificial pitch and grass pitches, ensuring optimal playing and training conditions year-round.
